I packed up this morning after having some breakfast. I just couldn’t be bothered last night. We caught the Shinkansen from Hiroshima Station to Fukuoka. It was a 700 series this time. I got a bit muddled and tangled up in bags trying to get through doors into our carriage. These two older American (ripped t shirt and baseball cap with wrap around sunnies) walked up and just stood and snickered at me while I was all flustered. Didn’t help just though my situation was funny. Then some Japanese ladies came from the other direction, so I was jammed in between the two groups in the tiny bit between carriages. The older ladies couldn’t really help but gestured for me to take my time and said “Ok, Ok”. Stupid Americans. We ended up sitting directly opposite them in the end. I had wished they were behind us as I needed some reclining practice. They just looked like miserable people.

We got to the hotel. It was only a five-minute walk from the station. It was a bit early, but the room was ready. The room was nice but wasn’t our nicest. Our comfortable clothes were dirty or hadn’t been washed in a while. I wanted to have nice fresh clothes for the plane. The hotel said they could get a few things done for us in a few hours. Nice.

I packed up the clothes to be picked up and we went for a walk to get Gus a screen protector for his phone. I also needed to give my big battery back over for recycling as its battery capacity was too high to take on the plane, according to Japan. Then I took him for a last trip to a Pokémon Centre. He found a new game thing at Pokémon that gave you little plastic chips so you could actually collect the Pokémon you caught. I let him play for a bit as you had a few coins we needed to spend. Next door was a model train shop that sold lots of transport things. I got some socks and pens. Now that I think about it, I hope I packed them in the rush 😟. We stopped at a 7 Eleven to use the last of the money on our transport cards (actually my watch). Lollies, ice cream weird grape drink, wipes, and lip balm. The Indian man at 7 Eleven had was good with English so was able to help me impulse the travel cards and pay the difference with card.

I took Gus to one last sop to have a browse. It was kind of a big Revolution CD. They had a heap of used and new games (even old game cartridges) along with new stuff. They also card cards, figurines, and models. There was a lot of cool stuff but nothing Star Trek, Star Wars but not Trek. Gus found a Game Cube controller that connects to a switch. I had to say no though. It was in a big box and it had to use for it. It did have Zelda stuff on it though. I think he was a bit upset. 😢

We went back to the hotel and our clothes were there. My Kmart shorts were expertly pressed and hung up along with Gus’ zip off cargo pants. I ordered a last night feast for Gus; chips, margherita pizza, tomato pasta and crème brûlée (I forgot we hadn’t eaten). I was thankful nothing had secret meat. I got our clothes ready for tomorrow go I could pack up the bags. I want to check in everything I can and just use our dillybags as I don’t want to drag stuff around Singapore airport that I don’t need. We wore our Japanese pyjamas and get ready to be up at six o’clock.
